How PM Parts Are Made
Our end-to-end powder metallurgy manufacturing process, from raw powder to finished precision components
Powder Blending
Base metal powders are precisely blended with alloying elements (copper, nickel, graphite) and lubricants. Particle size and composition are controlled for consistent flow and compaction behavior.
Compacting
Blended powder is fed into precision tooling and compacted under 200-800 MPa pressure. Hydraulic presses (up to 800T) form the 'green' part to near-net shape with controlled density distribution.
Sintering
Green parts are heated to ~1,120°C in controlled-atmosphere furnaces. Metal particles bond through diffusion, eliminating porosity and achieving 90-98% theoretical density. Belt speeds are calibrated for optimal grain structure.
Sizing & Coining
Sintered parts are re-pressed in precision sizing dies to achieve GB6-GB9 gear tolerances. Coining can densify surfaces for improved fatigue resistance and dimensional accuracy.
Secondary Operations
Heat treatment (carburizing, carbonitriding, induction hardening), CNC machining, steam treatment, oil impregnation, and surface finishing as required by the application specification.
Inspection & Delivery
CMM dimensional verification, gear testing, metallurgical analysis, and PPAP documentation. Parts are packaged per export standards and shipped globally within 4-6 weeks of production order.
